What was the task?

To dream big and build an energy-conscious, contemporary but not minimalist-style, two-storey mansion.

 

What made this project special?

​

It was an exciting task to accommodate modern lifestyle in a classic building with high ceilings and a grand façade. We built this mansion on a relatively small site so orientation was quite a challenge. Energy efficiency is achieved through two-storey glass surfaces facing south and an intelligent façade shading system, which also offers a great opportunity for playing with lights.
